This is a group of sheep I came across while hunting sheep in Arizona this past year. Looks like there might be some we want to take a closer look at in a couple years. Notice the one with the collar.

Dan Feeley's Az Sheep Hunt

I was lucky enough to be invited down to Arizona to tag along with a friend while we tried to help Dan Feeley pursue his dream of getting a nice Desert Big Horn Sheep. We seen 27 rams in 2 days and after studying all the rams we decided this one was a shooter. After looking over the lay of the land we had our plan of attack. Dan made a perfect shot at 200 yards and had harvested his first Desert Sheep. What a great time this hunt was. Thanks to Dan for allowing me to come help on his sheep hunt.

17 Rams bedded in one spot. This was an awesome sight to see. Later on I snuck within 40 yards and got some amazing video of this group of rams. (minus the one we shot) I'll work on getting some of the video from this hunt posted soon.

This was my first ever mule deer hunt and my dad wanted me to have a real hunting experience so he hired Trevor with Pine Creek Outfitters. Due to prior commitments, I only had 3 days to hunt. On my first day because of my excitement I left my glasses back at camp so unfortunately when we spotted a huge deer I missed the biggest 3 point Trevor had ever seen! Weather and darkness affected my opportunities but I was able to shoot my first deer on my last day of hunt. I got the experience of filling my pack and carrying out my deer for a couple of miles. In 2013 I finally drew a mule deer tag. With limited time to hunt, I employed Trevor because I wanted to try to hunt for a trophy mule deer. During the hunt I soon found out my physical fitness was going to be somewhat of a limitation. Trevor’s experience and encouragement kept me safe and with opportunities for trophy deer every day I hunted. My hunt ended with a 191 inch mule deer (my biggest yet and first with a muzzle loader).

I can honestly say it has been the most satisfying mule deer hunt of my life and I look forward to hunting again with Trevor and Pine Creek Outfitters. I would highly recommend Pine Creek Outfitters to anyone who would love to have an amazing hunting experience.

I hunted with Trevor in the Kaibab National Forest, truly Gods country. I found Trevor to be very thorough and most respectful of my age. He was enjoyable to be around and with eyes like a hawk he put me on some nice animals. If I am lucky enough to draw another tag he would be the first person I would call. In the fall of 2010 I had the honor and pleasure of hunting with Trevor Hunt. His knowledge of the area, along with his sense of humor, patience and tolerance, led to my successfully bagging a trophy muley buck. For my first real hunt, I knew I wasn’t out to just get any ol’ buck. I wanted something worth “bragging” about. Trevor knew just where to take us so that I wouldn’t be disappointed. On opening morning he led us straight to a great buck that my husband took and exactly one week later we were able to get my awesome 26” 4x5 mule deer. Everyone knows that a little luck in hunting goes a long way. Everyone, that is, except Trevor. I’m sure I don’t even know half of the amount of work he put in before and during my hunt to ensure that it was a successful one. He knows the land as good as anyone I know, and more importantly he is a true student of the animals he hunts. Because of his preparation and work, I was able to make one of the best memories of my marriage. Not only did he find me an awesome 32” 4x4 opening morning, but he never quit until he had made sure my wife had an equally impressive buck exactly one week later. Last fall I drew the tag of a life time, a Southwest Desert archery elk tag, and knew I was in for the time of my life. I asked Trevor for his help and it made my hunt a complete success. Trevor's knowledge of the animals, their habits, the terrain, and hunting in general is undone only by his eminent passion and dedication to and for all of the forementioned. When my hunt finally started we had names for bulls he and I had been watching all summer and a great game plan. I have heard stories of pushy overbearing outfitters and I can attest that this certainly was not the case with Mr. Hunt. Patient and calm, he understand the patience it takes to not only take a trophy but also enjoy a hunt from sun up to sun down. With his help, I hunted a very smart/tricky trophy bull that outsmarted me for 10 straight nights. Every time I got frustrated he reminded me of the great opportunity I had just to be doing what I was doing and encouraged me to stay patient. . . if you do the right things long enough it will all work out. . . I killed a beautiful 350" bull during the last week of my hunt. I shot him at 4 yards and watched him hit the dirt. It's hunt I will absolutely never forget and Trevor was a very big part of that. If I ever get lucky enough to draw the tag again, you bet I will be teaming up with Trevor again.
