Zona and her husband Michael were lucky enough to draw yet again for the 12 AE late hunt on the Kaibab Plateau. They called as soon as they found out and booked with us for hopefully another successful hunt. With the year being down on quality of big bucks throughout all of northern Arizona we didn't know what to expect. The second day into the hunt I found a true Kaibab giant but conditions didn't make it to where we were able to connect with this buck. Later that day I took them back to where I thought the big buck would have ran to. After just a few seconds of glassing I told Michael to get his gun up cause the big buck was 300 yards across the canyon trotting across the open hillside. As luck would have it he was looking directly into the sun and wasn't able to find the buck in his cross hairs. Honestly it was kind of sad for me to watch that big ole buck trot over the top of the ridge never to been seen by us the remainder of the hunt. A couple days later Zona had her chance at another awesome buck but was not able to connect on him. The shot was near impossible for anyone to make and she came dang close to making it happen. But out luck changed a couple days latter when they were both able to connect on these great Kaibab bucks. I had a great time hunting with them and I hope the can draw the tag again so we can have another fun week together sharing stories and teasing one another. Thanks Michael and Zona for a hunt I will always remember.
Trevor Hunt, owner of Pine Creek Outfitters lives in the southwest corner of Utah, within 2 hours from the trophy hunting units of southern and eastern Nevada, southern Utah and northern Arizona. Living his whole life there Trevor and his crew have learned where the animals summer, grow their antlers and rut. Due to the many hours of scouting, Trevor along with friends and family have walked almost every inch of these areas. During this time they have learned where the animals bed and where all the little hidden water holes are.
We are licensed and permitted in Utah and Nevada.
Pine Creek Outfitters mission is to offer serious hunters a quality and knowledgeable hunt, with the possibility of taking home the trophy of a lifetime. To find out more information on how to hunt with us our contact information is below.

Hunting with Mckinley
This year I took my oldest daughter Mckinley out on my Utah deer hunt. We had a great time together glassing and hunting for that perfect buck. We weren't able to find the buck we were looking for but we made more and probably better memories as a father daughter hunting trip. Sometimes I get to caught up in my hunting and forget what really important. And this is whats important spending time with your kids and teaching them about what we love about hunting and the outdoors.
